Razor-sharp alpine ridges and frozen glacial valleys where colossal wind-organs carved into the mountain peaks hold back the creeping northern freeze.
Forming the high mountain collar just south of the Shattered Crown, the Frost-Chime Peaks are a realm of blinding snowfields, sapphire-blue glaciers, and hardy Korvath and Brannik mountain holds. Here the air is so thin and clear that the hum of the Canopy overhead feels close enough to touch.
For centuries, the mountain clans maintained the Boreal Pipes—enormous stone and brass organ-tubes built into the mountain passes that channel howling blizzards into warming harmonic waves. The mountain clans once sang with the Verdant Chorus; after the Cracking they hired on with Brass-Harbor, which pays in boiler-iron. Now half the passes have fallen silent as Vitrified legions march down from the northern crater, freezing whole glaciers into jagged crystal spires.
Landmarks of the Northern Collar
- Landmark 1 — The Boreal Wind-Wall: A monumental three-mile-long fortress-organ spanning the main northern pass, where thousand-foot brass pipes convert arctic gales into warming chords.
- Landmark 2 — Iron-Hearth Hold: A vast subterranean citadel of the Korvath and Brannik warmed by volcanic hot-springs and resounding with rune-anvils.
- Landmark 3 — Frost-Bell Monastery: A cliffside sanctuary perched above the clouds where scholars study the acoustic aurora of the high Canopy arches.
- Landmark 4 — The Glacier of Frozen Echoes: A haunting ice valley where extreme cold and encroaching Dead-Pitch cause spoken words and battle-cries to freeze mid-air into visible, shattering ice crystals.
The Northern Siege Front
Towering white-furred Crag-Yetis, frost-breathing Rime-Wyrms, avalanches triggered by dissonant soundwaves, and the disciplined northern vanguard of the Choir of the Pale Wake.

- Tier 1 Raid — The Boreal Wind-Wall (10/20 Players): Fight up the icy battlements and across thundering organ pipes during a blizzard to stop Krym-Vara, the Rime-Glass Wyrm, from broadcasting the Stilling across Kaelvorn.
- World Boss — The Unstruck Pipe: A mile-long brass organ-worm frozen inside a silent Boreal pipe, shaking loose across the pass whenever the Wind-Wall falls out of tune.
- Region Exemplars: Home to Bram Hammer-Chime, The Forge-Cantor, and Brenna Cold-Bell, The Boreal Herald.
The Boreal Wind-Wall
Set high in the howling blizzards of the Frost-Chime Peaks, the Boreal Wind-Wall is a three-mile-long fortress-organ that keeps the northern freeze from sweeping south across the continent. A massive Vitrified siege legion, led by a corrupted mountain wyrm and a choir of Glass Prelates, has seized the upper ramparts and begun re-tuning the thousand-foot brass pipes to broadcast the Stilling across all of Kaelvorn. Raid groups must fight up the icy battlements, battle across the tops of thundering organ pipes during an active blizzard, and reclaim the Grand Bellows before the final chord is struck.

The Unstruck Pipe
a mile-long brass organ-worm frozen inside a silent Boreal pipe, shaking loose when the Wind-Wall falls out of tune.

Bram Hammer-Chime — The Forge-Cantor
A jovial, white-bearded Brannik master-smith from Iron-Hearth Hold who marches into battle carrying a portable runic anvil, tempering his allies' armor and mending their wounds with every ringing strike of his hammer.
