Development diary
Welcome to the official pre-launch sanctuary for Kaelvorn. If you have already explored our interactive World Atlas or tested rotations in the Skill-Tree Explorer, you have probably noticed two things that make this site different from almost every other MMORPG portal on the web.
First, the interface is built directly from the in-game HUD of Kaelvorn—from the action-bar navigation at the top of your screen to the rarity-bordered tooltips. Reduced motion is a checkbox in the footer labelled Reduce motion. It stores kaelvorn:reduced-motion on this device only. Second, there is no newsletter signup form, no beta lottery, no edition comparison matrix, and zero tracking scripts. We self-host every font, icon, and concept painting. When we want you to return to this site between now and 22 April 2027 at 16:00 UTC, we earn that return visit with world-building, buildcraft tools, and scheduled reveals—never by spamming your inbox.
Here is what to watch as the Sky-Clock counts down:
1. The Nine Vanguard Calling Reveals
On our Callings page, four full exemplars—Valen Korr, Lyra Vance, Kaelen Vos, and Tessa Vane-Kettler—are unlocked with complete twelve-ability skill trees today. Alongside them stand nine "Revealed Soon" vanguard dossiers, ordered in the exact sequence they will step out of the storm:
- First comes Ness Quin, The Dawn-Lancer, diving from her feathered Sun-Courser above High Solitude.
- Next come Bram Hammer-Chime (our runic anvil-priest from Iron-Hearth Hold), Torga Moss-Back (the ironwood tank of the Fen), and Brenna Cold-Bell (wielding a two-hundred-pound split tuning-fork greatsword).
- At the midpoint, Lazlo Greaves opens the hospital tents of Last Accord—refusing to say whether a Glassed mortal can be thawed—followed by Asha Renn’s copper-sand giants, Soren & Kipp’s harpoon-grapple antics in Brass-Harbor, and the sealed iron diving-suit of Marrow, The Glass-Scarred.
- Our ninth and final pre-launch unlock will be Lioren Noct, The Dusk-Chord, emerging from the Buried Ziggurat of Kal with a single haunting warning: “The vault did not say the Spires were built to save us.”
2. The Three Cracking Spires & The Fourteen-Day Egg
On the Coming Soon page, keep your eye on the Spire-Watch tracker monitoring Spire Aethel, Spire Verdan, and Spire Caul. These are editorial snapshots, leaving open the question of which regional tower will slip out of tune first. And if you visit the Mounts page, you can inspect an illustrative fourteen-day incubation guide for the Fen-Strider Snapper egg in Root-Cradle’s hatchery.
